About MP3 Players & Downloads

Our MP3 downloads are mastered at a special super high-quality bit rate so that none of the subliminal file is lost. They will download directly into your downloads folder, perfect as-is, at approximately 70mb.

Many of our customers have asked about listening to our Alphasonics CD programs on their MP3 players.  If you load a CD into your computer to turn it into an MP3 file, you must specify a non-compressed format. The standard MP3 format usually compresses the sound so that nine tenths of it is removed, and the sound quality is somewhat degraded. This is done in order to fit huge amounts of material on such tiny devices as iPods, iPhones and mp3 players. The one tenth remaining comprises only the most "noticeable" sounds. So essentially it keeps only the mountain stream sounds and deletes most of the subliminal messages. It may sound the same but you should not expect any results. So be sure to choose a WAV or AIFF format when downloading into your computer.

Some audio formats do not compress the sound. The AIFF format is uncompressed and preserves all the sounds and, though our programs take lots of space, you can listen to them effectively on your computer, iPod or other personal music player which accepts AIFF.

HOW TO CHOOSE THE CORRECT SETTINGS WHEN USING ITUNES

Just go to iTunes Preferences > General > Import Settings and use the "Import Using" menu to choose AIFF. Then import your Alphasonics CDs. Then, before you import music, remember to change the format back to MP3 or AAC, so that it won't take up too much room.

Do not attempt to expand a previously compressed file as most compression formats permanently remove data which is not restored by expanding it. Beware of "Lossless" formats as they still remove some of the sound, though it is a smaller percentage.  Also, avoid listening in Dolby, as in the process of eliminating unnecessary noise, much of our subliminal content is also eliminated.

DETAILED  INSTRUCTIONS  FOR  IMPORTING  ALPHASONICS  CDS:

These instructions are the same for all iTunes users, on both Mac and Windows systems. If you are using other software besides iTunes the instructions should be similar. If AIFF is not one of the formats offered, choose another, making sure it is an uncompressed format.

  • Go to iTunes on your computer.
  • In the top menu under the word iTunes select PREFERENCES.
  • You’ll see a window with a row of icons at the top. Choose GENERAL.
  • Click the IMPORTING SETTINGS button.
  • In the menu called IMPORT USING you will see a list of the formats.
  • Choose AIFF Encoder.
  • Then insert the Alphasonics CD into your computer to import it.
  • Once imported, you can listen to it on your computer in uncompressed form.
  • To download it to an iPod or other personal music player, connect your iPod to the computer and it can sync it so that what is on your iPod is an exact match to what you have in iTunes. So your CD will be transferred to your iPod in uncompressed form.
  • Then, before you upload other material such as music to your computer go back to Preferences and change the format to a compressed format such AAC or MP3. (AAC is best.) Otherwise everything will take up too much space and your iPod will fill up too fast.

If your Alphasonics CDs are already uploaded to iTunes on your hard drive in MP3 or ACC or another compressed format, you cannot convert them effectively to an uncompressed format, because this will not restore the nine tenths of the data which has been removed. However you can delete them and upload them again by following the instructions above.
